Ukrainian attack drones hit more than 14,000 enemy targets in six months – Shmyhal

Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have hit more than 14,000 enemy targets over the past six months, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.

"The state has made a real revolution in regulating the creation of drones. We have adopted 20 laws and by-laws, and thanks to this, we have scaled production by 100 times. Bureaucracy has been removed, there is real competition for about two hundred private companies in the field of UAVs. UAH 40 billion is provided in the current state budget for the purchase of drones. And this is not the limit," he said at a government meeting on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister stressed that the latest developments are already changing the course of the war. In particular, marine drones "paralyzed the enemy fleet on the Black Sea and ensured the safety of the water logistics corridor."

"In just six months, attack drones have hit more than 14,000 targets - Russian equipment, air defense, electronic warfare and reinforcement," he added.

As Shmyhal emphasized, the creation of Forces of unmanned systems as a separate branch of the armed forces will maximize the potential of drones.
