USA working diligently in House, Senate to provide funding Ukraine needs in 2024 – Congressman Turner in Kyiv

Chairman of the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Mike Turner assured the full support of the United States for Ukraine and emphasized the ongoing "hard" work in Congress on funding for Kyiv.

At a briefing in Kyiv on Friday evening, Turner said the delegation comes today to tell President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and other officials the United States fully supports Ukraine and that the United States is working diligently in the House and Senate to secure the funding needed in 2024 for United States support for Ukraine in protection from Russian aggression. He said the Senate is taking action right now to start moving forward another bill that they hope can solve this problem.

According to him, in Congress there are mainly procedural, rather than substantive, debates. Turner noted that the majority in the House of Representatives and the Senate are in favor of supporting Ukraine.

The congressman said they look forward to the conclusion of this legislative process and look forward to when they can come back and discuss with Ukraine how they use these resources to succeed in the fight against Russian aggressors.
