PM: Slovak govt won't block purchase of weapons and equipment from Slovak businesses by Ukraine, to support Ukraine Facility

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, following a meeting with Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, has said that the parties have reached agreement on a number of issues.

"We just completed a meeting with the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico. We came to an agreement on a number of issues and have specific agreements," Shmyhal wrote on his Telegram channel.

In particular, he said, the Slovak government will not block purchase of weapons and equipment from Slovak businesses by Ukraine.

In addition, the countries will cooperate on the supply of equipment from the Slovak company for the construction of defense lines.

Slovakia will also support the Ukraine Facility, which provides for the allocation of EUR 50 billion to Ukraine from the European Union.

"Prime Minister Fico assured me of his full support for Ukraine's European integration aspirations," Shmyhal added.

Among other things, he said that Ukraine and Slovakia will continue fruitful cooperation for the sake of the security and prosperity of their countries.
