President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a meeting with Secretary of Defense of the United States of America Lloyd Austin, who arrived on a visit to Kyiv, the press service of the head of the Ukrainian state reports.

As reported on the official website of the President of Ukraine on Monday, the American delegation also included commander of the U.S. European Command and the Supreme Commander of NATO Allied Forces in Europe, Christopher Cavoli.

As noted in the message, the head of state expressed gratitude to the President of the United States, his administration, both houses of Congress and the entire American people for the continued strong support of Ukraine, primarily military, which is very important in the face of full-scale Russian aggression. The leadership role of the United States in the formation of an international coalition for defense assistance to our country was noted.

“We are very grateful to President Joseph Biden. It is very important for us that the United States is with us. We count on your support and are proud that you are with us,” he emphasized.
