Kuleba invites G7 FMs to consider joint weapons production policy

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba on Wednesday took part in the G7 ministerial meeting in Brussels at the invitation of the Japanese Chairmanship, at which he drew the attention of his colleagues to the priority of further military support for Ukraine and increasing the volume of joint production of weapons and ammunition, according to the website of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

"It is time to create a joint defense industry space between the G7 member states, the European Union and the EU candidate states. Defense industries are the muscles of the free world and we must pump them up as soon as possible. Reality demands this. I urge you to consider a joint production policy and arms supplies," Kuleba said.

The Minister recalled the International Defense Industries Forum held in Ukraine in September, which was attended by 252 leading defense companies from more than 30 countries, and called on the interlocutors to actively encourage defense companies in their countries to cooperate with Ukrainian partners and joint defense production.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry notes that the foreign ministers of the G7 countries expressed unconditional support for Ukraine.

Kuleba expressed gratitude to the G7 countries for supporting Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression and noted the priority importance of working together to further promote the Ukrainian Peace Formula. "I urge you to jointly strengthen efforts to promote President Zelenskyy's Peace Formula and expand the geography of its support. Restoring the principles of the UN Charter and creating effective mechanisms for preventing wars is in the interests of all states," the minister emphasized.
