The Swedish chain of clothing stores H&M will begin to resume operations in Ukraine in November of this year, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reports.

"This week, our diplomats in Stockholm received final confirmation that Ukrainian H&M stores, which were closed due to the full-scale Russian invasion, will begin to reopen in November this year," according to a message published on the Telegram channel on Wednesday.

It is noted that "the return of international giants such as H&M, IKEA and others is one of the goals of Ukrainian diplomacy today and one of the most anticipated decisions for Ukrainians."

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba confirmed the information about the beginning of the resumption of work of H&M stores, and added that "the return of IKEA is actively continuing, and I expect that there will soon be good news in this area as well."

It was previously reported that H&M temporarily closed its stores in Ukraine from February 24, 2022.

The Swedish company Hennes&Mauritz AB (H&M), owner of Europe's second largest chain of clothing stores, opened its first store in Ukraine in 2018.

At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the H&M chain in Ukraine consisted of eight retail outlets: five in Kyiv, one each in Odesa, Kharkiv and Lviv.
