Kupyansk direction is one of the hottest on the entire front line, but the enemy has no strategic successes at the moment, Ukrainian units are on the defensive, said Volodymyr Fityo, head of the public relations service of the Command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Of course, we see that this direction is one of the hottest on the entire front line. The enemy aims to re-occupy Kupyansk, it is an important logistics center through which provisions and ammunition were supplied during the last occupation," Fityo said at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine - Ukrinform.

He stressed that at the moment the Russian occupation army has no strategic successes in this direction.

"Our military courageously hold the defense and give a worthy rebuff to the Russian occupiers," Fityo added.

Also, the AFU reported that over the past day, the enemy suffered 112 military losses in Kupyansk direction, and 28 units of enemy military equipment were destroyed, of which five tanks and four armored personnel carriers. The enemy attacked twice near Synkivka, inflicted eight airstrikes, used 16 kamikaze drones, carried out 736 attacks in total, of which four were from MLRS units.

"The situation on the front line as a whole has worsened since the beginning of the month. In Kupyansk direction, we observed the enemy, saw his preparations, saw that the enemy was gathering his forces and resources. We were also preparing, strengthening, and pulling up reserves," the Ground Forces said.
