US Special Rep for Ukraine's Recovery calls meeting with Zelenskyy, his team in Kyiv as productive

U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine's Recovery Penny Pritzker, who arrived on a visit to Kyiv, announced a number of meetings, in particular with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, representatives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) and the American Chamber of Commerce.

At a briefing, which took place on the territory of the Coca-Cola factory museum in the village of Velyka Dymerka (Kyiv region), Pritzker said she had very productive meetings with the American Chamber of Commerce, with the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, with the Presidium of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, as well as with President Zelenskyy and his team. She thanked the president for working with our embassy to make these trips possible, and for working so closely with the embassy over the last years, especially since the outbreak of war.

Pritzker also said she will also be meeting with local business leaders before she leaves.

The U.S. special representative urged to get used to seeing her there, because it was the first of many trips that she would make there. She quoted President Joe Biden who said: "I want to assure our American allies, the American people and the people in Ukraine that you can count on our support."

As Special Representative for Ukraine's Recovery, Pritzker said she works with the Ukrainian government to support the opening of export markets, mobilize foreign direct investment and promote economic recovery.

Pritzker said she is also working to shape donor priorities through the interagency donor coordination platform. She said that during this and future trips there, she would continue to build relationships between key U.S. private sector investment stakeholders, the Ukrainian government, and Ukrainian business leaders.
