Cabinet simplifies import of raw materials for production of ammo, drones – Shmyhal
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has simplified the import of raw materials for production of ammunition and warheads for unmanned aerial vehicles, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.
"We have removed bureaucratic obstacles to the purchase of Ukrainian drones. Today, by a separate resolution, we are simplifying the import of raw materials for production of ammunition and combat parts of UAVs," Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Tuesday.
According to the prime minister, this decision will meet the country's needs and will allow increasing production of drones. "This year, production has already increased a hundred times, and will grow even more," Shmyhal said.
As Taras Melnychuk, a representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, reported on Telegram, changes have been made to the procedure for implementing a pilot project for production, purchase and supply of ammunition and warheads for unmanned systems to facilitate production by establishing a simplified procedure for implementing state export control procedures when importing military goods and dual use goods by manufacturers of ammunition and warheads for unmanned systems.
