Supreme Commander-in-Chief HQ discusses ammunition supply, preparations for winter – Zelenskyy
The situation in the key areas, in particular, ammunition and air defense supplies as well as power and heating supply issues, were discussed and reports by commanders were heard during a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Headquarters on Friday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said in a daily video message.
"The second issue of the Headquarters is directly related to our defense and the stability of our country – the energy system, preparations for winter, protection of facilities, and power and heating supply, restoration of everything that was damaged by Russian strikes and hostilities," he said.
According to Zelenskyy, "this winter, Russian terrorists will again try to destroy our energy system. They are not able to accept the idea that Ukraine will not be conquered anyway, but will try to make more strikes and more attempts to bypass our defenses. We are fully aware of the danger."
"Today at the Headquarters meeting, there were reports from the military and all officials responsible for protecting our energy sector and for tactics to get through the winter. In particular, the head of government, ministers, heads of energy companies, representatives of the communications sector, and heads of regional administrations delivered reports. Everything related to the physical protection of facilities, restoration, implementation of orders, procedures in case of emergencies [was discussed]," the president said.
Next week, he said, "we will record the current state of the preparations for winter in the regions."
