U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Charles Brown will travel to Brussels (Belgium) on October 10, where they will hold an in-person meeting of Ukraine Defense Contact Group (Ramstein), according to the Pentagon website on Thursday, October 5.

It is noted that this will be the 16th meeting in Ramstein format since April 2022.

"The Secretary and Chairman will join ministers of defense and senior military officials from nearly 50 nations to discuss the ongoing crisis in Ukraine and the continued support from the international community to provide the Ukrainian people with the means necessary to defend their sovereign territory," according to the statement.

In addition, while in Brussels, Lloyd Austin will also take part in a meeting of NATO defense ministers, which will take place on October 12 at the Alliance headquarters.
