As result of shelling of Kherson, policeman killed, two civilians severely wounded, warehouse caught fire

A policeman was killed as a result of shelling in Kherson, Head of the city military administration Roman Mrochko said.

"Today at 09:35, Russian forces shelled Korabelny district of Kherson. They hit trolleybus No. 9 on Naftovykiv Street... A senior police sergeant who was nearby was killed," he said on the Telegram channel on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs expressed condolences to the family of the deceased policeman. "In the morning in Kherson, a 49-year-old police sergeant was killed as a result of Russian artillery shelling. Our condolences to the family of the deceased policeman," the ministry said in a statement on the Telegram channel.

As the Interior Ministry said, as a result of the morning shelling, civilians who were on the trolleybus "received severe injuries – enemy artillery mutilated the trolleybus with passengers."

According to the ministry, also "as a result of an enemy hit, a warehouse building caught fire. Rescuers are extinguishing a fire with an area of about 1,000 square meters. All necessary services are at the scene. We are working."

Earlier it was reported with reference to Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin, that two passengers were injured – men, 33 and 57 years old.
