Zelensky: People in occupied areas do not forget about Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called for maintaining information links with the occupied territories and conveying real information there.

"Today, the news spread about a photo of a guy from Mariupol, who went out into the city street with a Ukrainian flag. He went to the remains of the drama theater building, destroyed by Russian troops. It was very brave. And I want to thank him for this act. This guy is one of our many people who are waiting for the return of Ukraine and who under no circumstances will accept the occupation," he said in a video statement on Monday evening.

"We have not forgotten about them for a single day. I ask you all who have contacts and opportunities for this – bring real information to the occupied territory, support our people, spread the truth there. In any way that you think is effective. Throughout our Ukrainian land from Kherson to Horlivka, from Henichesk to the occupied regions of Kharkiv region, in Melitopol and Berdiansk, in Enerhodar, in Luhansk and Donetsk regions, in Crimea – our people have heard about Ukraine from Ukrainians," the president said.

According to him, "the prospect is obvious – the Ukrainian flag will be in all our cities and villages. The only question is time. And while this time continues, while Russia can still destroy life in Ukraine... in the cities of Kharkiv region... Do not forget to support informationally and emotionally our people in the occupied areas. Tell them about Ukraine. For its part, the state is doing this. But we must use all the information power of our society."
