Street fighting continues in the area of ​​Rubizhne and Popasna (Luhansk region), the enemy is shelling the area. The day before, in this area, Russian invaders tried to attack, but were repulsed, head of Luhansk regional military administration Serhiy Haidai said.

"Yesterday, near Novotoshkivske, Nyzhnie, Popasna and Rubizhne, the Russians tried to attack. But they were forced to retreat to their positions. In total, seven enemy attacks were repulsed in Luhansk and Donetsk regions. The Ukrainian defenders destroyed seven tanks, eight armored vehicles and three artillery systems of the enemy," head of Luhansk regional military administration wrote in Telegram on Tuesday morning.

According to him, one of the houses in Severodonetsk, which had already been shelled three times in a week and became uninhabitable, was on fire for the fourth and fifth time. First, three apartments on the 3rd floor were on fire, then one on the fifth.

Haidai also said that the situation is difficult. "Neither rescuers nor ambulances can reach some areas of Popasna and Rubizhne. The shelling is very dense, street fighting continues. In Rubizhne, the dead are buried in the yards," he wrote.
