Encircled Kherson runs out of medicines, food and fuel

Kherson, surrounded by Russian troops, is running out of food, there are problems with medicines and fuel, the press service of Kherson City Council reports.

"Kherson is surrounded by invaders. We can't leave. They can't come to us. The city is running out of flour for baking bread, there are problems with medicine and fuel. Businesses have stopped, many have lost their jobs. But, city officials help people who can't buy their own food," the statement said.

It is also noted that Kherson residents support each other by organizing mutual aid centers, go on cleanup days, and clean up the city.

In addition, residents are facing pressure from the occupiers, who not only disperse peaceful protests, but also conduct raids.

"Orcs break into the houses of Kherson residents, take away clergymen, public figures, even managed to take away the director of the theater," the message says.

Despite this, Kherson residents continue to unanimously adhere to the pro-Ukrainian position, the city council reports.

"As unequivocal is the statement 'Kherson is Ukraine,' so unequivocal is the statement that the 'liberators' are occupiers, orcs, murderers. Kherson is the first Ukrainian city to rise to rallies. Unanimously, solidly, voluntarily," the report said.

"Two colors are relevant in Kherson – blue and yellow. On the building of the City Council – blue and yellow. A huge banner of blue and yellow descends along the wall from the roof to the bottom of the building. Local residents even paint the borders in blue and yellow. Nobody expects the Russian Federation here. Nobody wants it. Even collaborators do not want it – corrupt beings for who personal gain is greater than life. Kherson is a Ukrainian city. This is not just the personal opinion of one person or a small group of people. This is the opinion of almost 300,000 people of Kherson. Kherson is Ukraine!" the city council concluded.
