NPC Ukrenergo expects a safe corridor for the implementation of the renewal of the power line of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, the company has said.

"Ukrenergo is waiting for a safe corridor that will provide an opportunity to resume the line healing the Chernobyl nuclear power plant," the company wrote on its Facebook on Thursday.

According to the report, Ukrenergo's repair teams are ready to repair the line without delay, despite threats of being shot by the enemy, and they are only waiting for permission.

As reported, as a result of shelling and damage to the 330 kV overhead line, the Chornobyl nuclear power plant was completely disconnected from power, which is now provided with electricity from diesel generators. According to the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine, they are designed to work for 48 hours. According to Energoatom, the main problem associated with the lack of power supply is the cooling of spent nuclear fuel.
