Measures are being taken in Severodonetsk to restore the supply of heat and water to citizens as quickly as possible, Head of the Severodonetsk city military-civilian administration Oleksandr Striuk has said.
"All the necessary measures are being taken for the city to function smoothly and, if possible, to restore the infrastructure as quickly as possible," Striuk said in a video message to the population.
According to him, as a result of the shelling in the city, there is significant damage to the infrastructure.
"Very difficult. Significant damage after the shelling. We are trying to ensure the supply of electricity and heat where possible. Regarding the supply of heat in the areas of the Severodonetskteplokomunenergo municipal enterprise: the boiler house was damage that cannot be restored at present, therefore we are now draining water in order to our thermal system has not failed," he said.
Work continues on the resumption of electricity supply to the villages of Metiolkyne, Voronove and in the directions where power lines have been laid.
