Rada profile committee allows civilians to use firearms to repel Russian aggression – MP Osadchuk

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement Affairs has supported the strengthening of criminal liability for looting and lifted restrictions for the civilian population on the use of firearms to repel Russian aggression, First Deputy Head of the committee, Deputy Head of the Holos party Andriy Osadchuk has said.

"The Law Enforcement Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has just unanimously backed a significant increase in criminal liability for looting and lifted all restrictions on the use of firearms by the civilian population to repel the armed aggression of the Russian Federation/another country during martial law," Osadchuk wrote on Facebook on Thursday.
