For Ukrainians, this is a patriotic war, and we know how such wars end for the invaders, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said.

"The occupiers will receive only one thing from the Ukrainians – a rebuff. A tough rebuff, such a rebuff that they will forever remember that we are not giving up ours," the president emphasized in his video message, noting that for Ukrainians this is the Patriotic War.

The head of state reported on the losses of the enemy – almost 9,000 killed in a week.

"Go home with your entire army. Tell your command that you want to live, that you don't want to die. Live. Stop the war and resume peace as soon as possible," Zelensky stressed.

The President said that he had held a meeting with the heads of regions and cities of Ukraine.

"Our guys are working hard to organize 'green corridors' at the local level. To take away civilians. To bring medicines. Volnovakha, the cities of Kyiv region, Sumy, Kharkiv, in southern Ukraine. It is very difficult. Extremely difficult. We are opposed to terror. But terror, I am sure, will lose thanks to our heroes," Zelensky said.

The head of state also said that he had signed a decree on awarding the title of Hero of Ukraine to 15 Ukrainian defenders.
