Online video streaming service Megogo has suspended its operations in Russia, the company's press service told Interfax.

"The Megogo service has halted its activities in Russia. The resources of the media service are unavailable," the company said.

There is currently no film library available on Megogo's website, an Interfax correspondent found.

Megogo, which was founded in 2012, closed 2020 with a net loss of 51.7 million rubles on revenue of 2.3 billion rubles, the SPARK-Interfax system showed.

The Russian company is wholly owned by Cyprus-based Magavin Enterprises Ltd.
