Google allocates $15 mln to help Ukraine – Fedorov

American Google, part of Alphabet Inc., has allocated $15 million to help Ukraine.

"Had a call from Google. Grateful for supporting Ukraine in a very difficult time - a terrible war with Russia. Discussed what has already been done for us: they allocated $15 million to help Ukraine, as well as direct grants and advertising loans. We turned on SOS notifications on the Poshuk website throughout Ukraine. When people look for information about evacuation, they see a warning pointing to UN resources for displaced people," Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also said that Google has disabled some functions of Google Maps in Ukraine to ensure the safety of citizens, and has automatically strengthened the protection of Google accounts for Ukrainians.

Fedorov also said that the company is fighting against the media engaged in propaganda and misinformation.
