Ukraine records 11,968 COVID-19 cases per day – Stepanov
As of Tuesday morning, some 11,968 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) disease were recorded in Ukraine, some 6,786 people recovered, some 159 patients died, Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov has said.
"Some 11,968 new cases of COVID-19 disease were recorded in Ukraine as of November 17, 2020. In particular, 516 children and 565 medical workers fell ill. Over the past day, some 1,610 people were hospitalized, 159 people died and 6,786 people recovered," Stepanov wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday morning.
A day earlier, some 9,832 new cases of COVID-19 disease were recorded, on November 15; some 10,681 new cases of COVID-19 disease were confirmed in November 15; some 12,524 people were diagnosed with COVID-19 on November 14; some 11,787 cases of infection were recorded on November 13 and there were 11,057 new cases on November 12.
The number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic on Tuesday morning was 557,657 people, some 9,856 people died from COVID-19, some 250,983 people recovered.
Over the past day, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (1,143), Dnipropetrovsk (808), Odesa (761), Cherkasy (755) and Zaporizhia (734) regions.
