Four Ukrainian soldiers killed, three injured in Donbas over past day – JFO HQ

Four Ukrainian servicemen were killed and three others were wounded as militants have opened fire on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbas 28 times over the past 24 hours, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) headquarters has reported.

"Russian invaders opened fire on the positions of our troops. At the same time, the enemy used weapons banned by the Minsk agreements 12 times [...] Two soldiers of the Joint Forces were killed and three were injured as a result of shelling. Two soldiers sustained fatal wounds when a mine blew up," the JFO HQ said in a report on its Facebook page on Thursday.

Illegal armed groups opened fire from 120mm and 82mm mortars, anti-tank missile systems, IFV weapons, ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun, grenade launchers, heavy machineguns and small arms. Snipers were also active.

Ceasefire violations were recorded on the outskirts of the settlements of Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Zolote, Stepne, Troitske, Luhanske, Maiske, Zaitseve, Avdiyivka, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, Starohnativka, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Lebedynske, and Shyrokyne.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, six militants were killed and ten others injured in the past day.
