Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze have signed an agreement on the mutual abolition of visa requirements and border crossing by citizens of Ukraine and Georgia with the use of ID cards.

"Together with Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, we sign an agreement on the mutual abolition of visa requirements," Groysman wrote on Facebook on Friday.

The agreement provides that citizens of Ukraine will be able to travel to Georgia with internal passports in the form of ID cards with a chip.

As reported, the Ukrainian government on September 19 approved an agreement with Georgia on trips with the use of ID cards. The document provides that citizens of Ukraine will be able to visit Georgia on the basis of internal passports in the form of ID cards with a chip.

Subsequently, the possibility of concluding a similar agreement between Ukraine and Moldova was discussed by Director of the consular service department of Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Serhiy Pohoreltsev and head of the consular affairs department of Moldova's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Sergiu Odainic.
