Poroshenko: We seek to return Crimea, part of Donbas via negotiations

Kyiv will regain Crimea and the parts of Donbas it does not currently control using political and diplomatic methods, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.

"I say once again: we seek to regain Crimea and part of Donbas in a political-diplomatic way, but the Minsk Agreements [on settling the conflict in Donbas] have already benefited Ukraine," Poroshenko said in Kyiv on Tuesday at a meeting with the heads of Ukraine's diplomatic missions abroad.

"We'll struggle, and we'll liberate each sliver of our land, including in a political-diplomatic way, where the main burden lies on your shoulders. But we'll be reinforcing our military capability, as we have an aggressor country next to us that's capable of challenging European and global security," he said.
