Klympush-Tsintsadze calls Russia's possible sanctions against Ukraine 'ridiculous'

Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze is not dramatizing the situation involving Russia's possible sanctions against Ukraine.

"Another sanction won't make a difference.... Russia looks ridiculous. What are sanctions against the country that was the victim of its aggression?" she said during the opening of the first Ukrainian Defense Hackathon 2018 on the issues of security and defense in Kyiv on Monday.

Klympush-Tsintsadze said the sanctions demonstrate Russia's impotence.

"The unity of the Western world with Ukraine is continuing. This unity and response to Russia's actions make Russia nervous." In recent years, Russia has in fact continued the attack against a sovereign, independent country, violating all international rules," she said.

Recently, Russian media reported that the Russian Federation is preparing a sanctions list against several hundred individuals and about one hundred legal entities of Ukraine.
