OSCE Chairman meets with Ukraine's SMM head, FM in Mariupol; visits Pyshchevyk checkpoint

OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Angelino Alfano has held a meeting with Head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine Ertugrul Apakan and Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin.
The meeting was held at the OSCE SMM office in Mariupol, Donetsk region on Wednesday, the OSCE SMM said on Facebook. "The head of the SMM, together with other observers, briefly spoke about the security situation and the activities of the Mission in the east of Ukraine. The OSCE Chairman-in-Office expressed full support for the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine," the report reads.
Subsequently, accompanied by Apakan, Alfano and Klimkin visited the checkpoint near the government-controlled village of Pyshchevyk in Volnovakhsky district of Donetsk region, "where they saw with their own eyes the situation that developed along the demarcation line," the SMM said.
