Ukrainian, Polish FMs agree to meet in near future
Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Poland – Pavlo Klimkin and Jacek Czaputowicz - agreed to hold a meeting in the near future.
"I personally congratulated the new Polish colleague Czaputowicz on his appointment and agreed to meet in the near future. We will talk about strengthening the strategic partnership, including cooperation in the UN Security Council, where Polish friends have adopted the membership. I wish us joint successes and victories," Klimkin wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.
As reported, on January 9, Polish President Andrzej Duda, at the suggestion of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, dismissed several ministers, including Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski. On the same day, Professor Jacek Krzysztof Czaputowicz was appointed the new head of the Polish Foreign Ministry.
From 2008 to 2012 Czaputowicz was the director of the National School of Public Administration. Since January 2017, he was Director of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.
