Cabinet approves draft visa-free travel agreement with Antigua and Barbuda

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a draft agreement with the government of Antigua and Barbuda on the mutual abolition of visa requirements.

According to an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent, the corresponding decision was made at a government meeting in Kyiv. Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman read out this decision among those adopted by the government without discussion.

The Cabinet authorized Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly, who is also Ukraine's Ambassador to Antigua and Barbuda, to sign this agreement.

The draft agreement provides for permission to enter the country without visas under the condition that the term of stay does not exceed 90 days during 180 days.

At present the island state unilaterally introduced visa-free entry for Ukrainian citizens for up to 30 days for tourism purposes.
