Poroshenko appoints Ukraine's Ambassador to Netherlands as envoy to Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has appointed Ukrainian Ambassador to the Netherlands Vsevolod Chentsov as the country's permanent representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

The president signed relevant decree No. 215/2017 on Tuesday, it has been published on his official website.

As reported, on March 17, 2017, Poroshenko dismissed Oleksandr Horin who concurrently held the posts of Ukraine's Ambassador to the Netherlands and that of permanent representative to OPCW and on the same day appointed Vsevolod Chentsov as ambassador to the Netherlands.

Chentsov, born in 1974, is a career diplomat. He started to work for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in 1996. He worked abroad in the embassies of Ukraine in Turkey and Poland, as well as in the Mission of Ukraine to the European Union. He headed the Foreign Ministry's department for the EU.
