ATO press centre reports 54 attacks on army positions in Donbas on Sunday

Ukrainian army positions came under 54 attacks over the past day, the army operation press center said on its Facebook on Monday morning.

According to it, 31 attacks were observed in the Mariupol sector. The hostiles fired small arms, machineguns and grenade launchers near Maryinka and Novomykhailivka, 82mm mortars in Pavlopil, and anti-tank missile systems, grenade launchers, machineguns and 120mm mortars in Talakivka and Shyrokyne. Weapons of infantry combat vehicles, grenade launchers and small arms were engaged in Starohnativka, while mortars of both calibers, machineguns and grenade launchers were fired on fortifications in Krasnohorivka and Hnutove, it said.

Five violations of the truce were observed in the Luhansk area. The hostiles fired grenade launchers on the Lopaskyne area, and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms were used in Krymske. Troyitske came under attack of 120mm mortars, and 122mm artillery was fired near Kalynove-Popasna, the Ukrainian army said.

Eighteen attacks occurred in the Donetsk area. The hostiles fired grenade launchers and small arms on Ukrainian army positions near Zaitseve, and weapons of infantry combat vehicles and large-caliber machineguns were used against Luhanske and Novhorodske. Defenders of Verkhniotoretske and Troyitske again came under attack of 82mm mortars, and mortars of both calibers were engaged in Avdiyivka and the Butovka mine, the report said.
