The 'Normandy Four' foreign ministers will hold the next meeting before early February, the Elysee Palace said in a statement.

"They agreed that a next meeting of the 'Normandy Four' foreign ministers is to sum up the results of implementing the Minsk agreements by early February," says a document published on Wednesday.

The Elysee Palace said in the statement which was published following an almost two-hour telephone conversation that the leaders of France, Germany, Russia and Ukraine have focused on the issue of holding elections in Donbas.

"Special attention was paid to the preparations for the local elections in Donbas, which will be held at the beginning of next year," the Elysee Palace said in the statement.

"Angela Merkel, Francois Hollande, Vladimir Putin and Petro Poroshenko confirmed their adherence to the ceasefire in eastern Ukraine and immediate pullback of heavy weaponry," the document said.
