Public enterprise Ukrmedproyektbud, which ordered the construction of the new building of National Children's Hospital Okhmatdyt, has signed a contract with the general contractor and the winner of the tender - Altis-Construction LLC (Kyiv).

Director of Ukrmedproyektbud Iryna Koval told Interfax-Ukraine that the contract worth UAH 398.98 million was signed on November 9.

Koval said that Altis-Construction plans to come to the construction site on November 10. Along with construction works, the general contractor will assess the volume of construction work that will be carried out by the end of 2015.

The company is to present the result of its assessment on November 23. Based on the assessment, the size of payment to the construction company will be defined, including the advance payment.

Koval said that Ukrmedproyektbud plans to sign an agreement with Austria's Delta Holding to conduct audit and control the facility.

"Firstly, the agreement will be signed for one month, and we will see how this control could be carried out. We will look for other structures that are able to provide these services and if we find them we will select among them," she said.

As reported, the construction of the new building of Okhmatdyt was stopped in autumn 2013 due to the absence of financing.
