Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak and his Canadian counterpart Jason T. Kenney will visit the Yavoriv training range in Lviv region on Saturday, June 27.

"Today I have a meeting with the defense minister of Canada, and tomorrow we'll go with him to the Yavoriv training range, where we will discuss the expansion of cooperation between the agencies," the Ukrainian defense minister told journalists in Kyiv on Friday.

Poltorak also said he was satisfied with his visit to Brussels where he attended a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission, where Ukraine received the full support of the member states of the alliance.

Ukrainian Foreign Ministry charge d'affaires Dmytro Kuleba previously announced that Canadian National Defense Minister Jason Kenney will visit Kyiv on June 25-27. Kenney will visit military facilities in Lviv region, where Canadian military instructors will train units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He is also expected to meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk, and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.
