Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration Valentyn Reznychenko and German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier agreed in Dnipropetrovsk on Saturday that Germany will help in creating social infrastructure in the accommodation centers for displaced persons in Dnipropetrovsk region.

An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that in the near term Germany's German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) that helps displaced persons in Ukraine would provide funds to improve social infrastructure near accommodation centers. This concerns installation of playgrounds and sports grounds, creation of additional classes at schools and groups in kindergartens, introduction of new educational solutions and language clubs.

The opening of a swimming pool near the accommodation center in Dnipropetrovsk is being discussed.

Steinmeier said that the goal of his visit is to see how displaced people live in Dnipropetrovsk region.

As reported, five accommodation centers where around 2,400 displaced persons can live have been built in Dnipropetrovsk region.
