All business courts judges in Donetsk, Luhansk regions are loyal says judge
All business courts judges in Donetsk and Luhansk regions are still loyal to their oaths and have not worked for the so-called Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) or Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), Head of the Higher Business Court of Ukraine Bohdan Lvov has said.
"I won't promise, but according to open sources, no judge of business courts in Donetsk and Luhansk regions went to work in DPR and LPR, although there are the examples with other courts in these regions. Maybe this happened because we did not leave our judges," he said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
Lvov said that at present business courts in Luhansk and Donetsk regions and the Donetsk business court of appeals have been moved to Kharkiv and Zaporizhia.
"Business courts in Luhansk and Donetsk had to leave their property, nothing was managed to be taken. A judge of one of these courts who tried to take cases so not to leave them was put in a basement for four days, saving the documents and not knowing how it will end for him. In the bus shelled near Volnovakha a judge of the business court of Donetsk region was killed. The chief accountant of the court was also killed. I think that judges who passed through this will not be afraid of lustration or certification," he said.
