Azarov says radical protesters are terrorists

Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said that protesters in central Kyiv are terrorists.

"Participants in these disturbances cannot be called peaceful protesters and demonstrators. They are criminals who must answer for their actions," he said, while opening a government meeting on Wednesday.

"As prime minister of Ukraine, I officially declare that the victims that, unfortunately, have already been reported are on the conscience and responsibility of the organizers and certain participants in mass disturbances," Azarov said.

He also demanded that law enforcement agencies investigate a fatal accident on Euromaidan and said that the police had nothing to do with this death.

"The accusations against law enforcement officers are completely groundless, since they have no firearms on Hrushevskoho Street," Azarov said.
