EU-Ukrainian relations depend on stance of Brussels, including on trilateral talks with Russia, says PM Azarov

The future of the EU-Ukrainian relations depends on the stance of Europe, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.

"All this depends on the stance of the European Commission and the European Union," Azarov said on air of the Exam for Authorities program on the First National TV Channel on Friday, when asked about the prospect of signing the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and the format of future relations.

Ukraine has proposed the EU to hold trilateral talks with the participation of Russia, Azarov said. "Russia has agreed to this, now the matter depends on the European Commission," he said.

Ukraine will sign the Association Agreement with the EU if it is offered a mechanism to compensate possible losses, Azarov said.
