Customs Union deal not to be signed in Moscow on Dec. 17 – Foreign Ministry

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has said that no documents on Ukraine's cooperation with or accession to the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan are to be signed at a meeting of the Ukrainian-Russian interstate commission in Moscow on Tuesday.

"I've seen the documents – they've passed through the Foreign Ministry. Memorandums, letters of intent and agreements will be signed - they have been posted on the Internet and in no way concern our cooperation with, or especially our accession to, the Customs Union," Deputy Foreign Minister Andriy Olefirov said in Kyiv on Monday.

He said that the issue concerns documents on cooperation between Ukraine and Russia, in particular, economic cooperation, mobility, border infrastructure development, and other areas.

"I don't see any threats," Olefirov said.
