Batkivschyna deputy Serhiy Pashynsky failed to appear for questioning at the main investigative department of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office on Monday. The prosecutors are holding an inquiry into the suspected case of police exceeding their authority on Kyiv's Independence Square in the early morning hours of November 30.

"Pashynsky never appeared for questioning," a source at the Office's press service told Interfax. He noted that the questioning had been scheduled for 1100.

The deputy is a witness, and there are no suspects in the criminal case for now, the press service said.

The Office also summoned Batkivschyna faction leader Arseniy Yatseniuk for questioning.

"Yatseniuk is summoned as a witness to the criminal case of the police exceeding their authority on Independence Square," the press service told Interfax on Monday.
