Ukrspecexport state-run company will demonstrate Project 58250 (corvette) for the first time at the 10th international exhibition Arms and Security 2013 in Kyiv on September 25-28, reads the company's press release.

The 1.25m x 0.45m x 0.25m layout of the new warship that is being constructed for the Ukrainian Navy will be presented at the company's stand, along with other promising Ukrainian arms, including the Oplot main battle tank, the BTR-3E1 armored personnel carrier, the Kolchuga passive sensor, the BTR-4 armored personnel carrier, the Korsar anti-tank missile system, the Adros KT-03 UE and KT-01 AV station for optical-electronic suppression, and the AGS-40 automatic grenade launcher.

"The Ukrainian corvette has no analogues in the world in terms of many parameters. Arms, reconnaissance, and communications systems can be integrated on board the corvette. Its tonnage allows integrating practically all of the abovementioned systems on board," reads the press release.

Ukraine's Research and Design Center of Shipbuilding (Mykolaiv) designed the project. The construction of the Volodymyr Velyky lead corvette began at Chornomorsky Shipbuilding Yard (Mykolaiv) in 2012.

According to the organizers, exhibitors from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands participated in the Arms and Security exhibition last year.

More than 6,000 people attended the event.
