In Davos, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.

“Our country greatly values Qatar’s mediation in bringing home 53 of our children forcibly taken from Ukraine by Russia. We look forward to the expansion of this crucial work,” Zelenskyy said on X Wednesday.

The Head of the Ukrainian State thanked Qatar for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and joining the General Communique of the First World Summit.

According to the presidential press service, the parties discussed humanitarian cooperation and food security separately.

"Zelenskyy spoke about the new Ukrainian initiative Food from Ukraine, launched to help the Syrian people and supply food to Syria. In addition, Ukraine is working on ways to support the agricultural sector of this country and train Syrian students," reads a message posted on the president's website.

Zelenskyy invited Qatar to join the implementation of these initiatives and provide financial support, which will contribute to restoring stability in the region.
