Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshev discussed the problems of Ukrainian refugees abroad with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi in Davos, the Ministry of National Unity reports.

"In Davos, Chernyshev held a meeting with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi. They discussed the current challenges faced by Ukrainians who are forced to seek asylum abroad due to the war and ways to strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and the UNHCR," the message reads.

During the meeting, attention was also paid to a number of topical issues. In particular, ensuring the rights of Ukrainian citizens, access to necessary services, as well as creating conditions for those who plan to return to Ukraine.

In turn, Grandi noted the readiness of the United Nations to continue to support Ukraine and Ukrainian citizens. It is noted that this support includes both assistance to Ukrainians abroad and internally displaced persons.

"Together, we are doing everything possible to ensure that our citizens find support, regardless of where they are now," Chernyshev concluded.
