Third Assault Brigade publishes investigation into war crimes committed by Russians in Luhansk region
The Third Assault Brigade has made public the facts of war crimes committed by Russian occupiers in the village of Nevske in Luhansk region, the brigade's press service said.
The materials were published on the brigade's YouTube channel. It is noted that the videos were found on the phone of one of the soldiers of the Russian army, who was filming the criminal orders of his accomplice Oleh Rudakov, call sign Rudyk, on his smartphone. The identity of the Russian was identified during the investigation, and details of his biography and service in the Russian army were also found out.
"The occupier gave the Russian soldiers who were closer to the line of contact the task of executing and torturing the local population. In addition, the fighters of the Third Assault intercepted radio communications of Rudakov's group, which entered the village of Nevske. They contained an order to "clean up" that is, to destroy the local residents of the settlement," the brigade said.
In addition to war crimes against the civilian population, in the intercepted radio communications of the Russians, the Third Assault recorded instances of inhumane treatment of its own soldiers in the Russian army. This concerns murder as a method of punishing servicemen.
The brigade said the published investigation can be used in an international court as evidence of war crimes committed by Russian soldiers on the territory of Ukraine.
