Defense forces down 45 Russian drones overnight

During the night of December 19, the Russian occupation forces launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, a Kh-59/69 guided aerial bombs, 85 Shahed kamikaze drones and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) to attack Ukraine, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Thursday morning.
"As of 8:30 a.m., the destruction of 45 Shahed kamikaze drones and other types of UAVs was confirmed in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytsky, Chenihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions," it said on the Telegram channel.
The locations of another 40 enemy imitation drones were lost without negative consequences due to the defense forces' active counteraction.
Private and multi-apartment houses as well as municipal property in Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk regions were damaged as a result of enemy missile strikes. No casualties were reported.
No drone strikes were recorded and there have been no reports of destruction or casualties caused by the drone attack.
Ukrainian aircraft, anti-aircraft rocket forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups were engaged in the repulsion of the enemy attack last night.
