Situation on front line remains difficult, enemy most active in Kurakhove axis
The situation on the front remains tense, the number of combat clashes as of 16:00 has increased to 88, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
"The hottest areas now are Lymany, Kupyansk, Pokrovsk and Kurakhove axes," the message posted on the Telegram channel states.
Thus, the largest number of clashes were recorded in Kurakhove axis - since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have attacked Ukrainian units 19 times, tried to advance near Tsukuryne, Zhelanne Druhe, Horniak, Novoselydivka, Hostre, Heorhiyivka and Katerynivka. As of 16:00, fighting continues in eight locations.
In addition, 16 combat clashes were recorded in Lymany direction (11 battles are ongoing), 15 battles in Kupyansk direction (five attacks repelled, 10 are ongoing) and 13 attacks in Pokrovsk direction (12 attacks repelled, one battle is ongoing).
The occupiers also continue to use aviation and artillery against the border areas of Sumy region. The areas of the settlements of Buniakyne, Pavlivka, Uhroyidy, Stepky and Pokrovka were hit by artillery strikes. Air strikes were carried out against the settlements of Yablonivka, Katerynivka and Obody. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has dropped 10 smart bombs on Sumy region.
It is also specified that, according to available information, Russian aviation carried out twelve strikes on the territory of Kursk region of Russia, using 16 guided aerial bombs.
