Syrsky in conversation with U.S. colleagues stresses importance of timely weapons, equipment supply to AFU
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Oleksandr Syrsky had a phone conversation with Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) and Commander of U.S. European Command, General Christopher Cavoli and Commander of the U.S. Cyber Command, General Timothy Haugh.
During the conversation, Syrsky informed his U.S. colleagues about the operational situation on the front line and the challenges faced by the Ukrainian defense forces during the defensive operation in certain parts of the front.
"The enemy continues to conduct active offensive operations using the superiority in the air and long-range firearms. In this context, I once again noted the importance of timely receipt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine of weapons and military equipment, which has already been planned for transfer from partners," he said on Facebook on Friday.
The General emphasized the need for qualitative strengthening of cooperation in the cybersphere between the relevant specialists of the AFU and the United States to protect information and communication systems of military purpose.
"Today, it is important for us to use all available opportunities to achieve an advantage over the enemy both on the battlefield and in information and cyberspace," he said.
