The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine refutes reports in foreign media that Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha discussed the possibility of territorial concessions from the Ukrainian side during his visit to New York.

"I attended every meeting of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sybiha, in New York, and at none of them were there proposals, discussions or even hints of any territorial compromises. On the contrary, the minister's position is unshakeable, and he emphasized its elements behind closed doors. There can be no compromises on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine," Foreign Ministry Spokesman Heorhiy Tykhyi said.

He stressed that the Peace Formula is the only realistic way to a comprehensive, just and lasting peace.

"The principle of ‘Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine’ must be strictly observed. The minister noted this to all his interlocutors. The information from the Financial Times source about the minister's discussion of compromises is simply untrue, and we wonder who is interested in spreading such false narratives," the Foreign Ministry spokesman said.

Earlier, the British edition of the Financial Times published an article about the visit of the Ukrainian delegation to the United States, which indicated that Ukrainian representatives were "more open" to possible territorial concessions for a ceasefire during discussions on the current situation. In particular, it is indicated that Sybiha used private meetings with Western colleagues to discuss potential compromise solutions.
