Prosthetics center Superhumans to open in city of Dnipro
The Superhumans Center for prosthetics and rehabilitation is set to open in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, based in a renovated building of one of the city's clinics. The center will be able to serve around 600 patients annually and will employ at least 40 medical professionals.
According to Ukraine's Ministry of Health website on Wednesday, after the renovation of the hospital, the center's area will span approximately 2,000 square meters. It will include a rehabilitation zone, a prosthetics laboratory, and an inpatient department for complex cases.
Previously, the Superhumans Center announced plans to establish centers in Odesa and Mykolaiv. The first clinic under the Superhumans Center project was opened in Lviv in April 2023, based in one of the local hospitals. The initial phase included a prosthetics workshop and part of the rehabilitation center. The Lviv facility plans to treat about 3,000 patients annually.
The investment in launching the Superhumans rehabilitation medical center in Lviv is estimated at $54 million, with funds raised both in Ukraine and abroad through fundraising efforts. The Superhumans clinic focuses on prosthetics for adults and children, surgical reconstruction of disfigured body parts, particularly the face, and treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder.
A memorandum of cooperation has been signed between Superhumans and the Ministry of Health. The project is being developed at the initiative of Ukrainian businessman Andriy Stavnitser, with his business partner, Filipp Hrushko, as a co-founder.
