More Russian military presence eliminated in border regions, closer peace will be for Ukraine – Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy notes the need to maintain attention to all front-line areas and special attention to Kursk region (Russia), since the protection of Ukrainian border communities depends on it.

"We maintain attention to every area of protection of our state. To all front-line areas. Donetsk region - Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Kramatorsk. Kharkiv. South. Special attention to Kursk region, and therefore - the protection of all our border communities nearby," he said in an evening address on Tuesday.

"The more Russian military presence is destroyed in the border area, the closer peace and real security will be for our state. The Russian state must be held accountable for what it has done. And it is held," he said.

Zelenskyy stressed that now everyone in Ukraine needs to act "as unitedly and effectively as it was in the first weeks and months of this war, when Ukraine seized the initiative and began to return the situation to the interests of our state."

According to him, now Ukrainians have once again proven that in any situation they are capable of achieving their goals, are capable of defending their interests and their independence. "And we must fully utilize our achievements. And so it will be," the president said.
